Matt Groves - Senior Audit Manager

Matt joined Cornwell Jackson in 2006. As senior audit manager, he supervises the operations of the audit services department, oversees multiple large accounts while providing excellent client service and serves as the head of Cornwell Jackson’s employee benefit plan audit practice where he is responsible for the operations, quality and growth of the practice.

In addition to performing and reviewing financial statement audits and reviews, and employee benefit plan audits, Matt trains and develops team members. He has worked with companies in a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, services, retail and construction.

Prior to joining Cornwell Jackson, Matt worked as a manager in the audit department at KPMG, where he provided audit services to public and private companies and managed staff members.

In 2001 Matt graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. While in college, Matt worked as an intern with Arthur Andersen in Dallas and competed in Division I soccer.

Matt grew up in Richardson, Texas and currently resides in McKinney with his wife and two daughters. He and his family are members of St. Francis in Frisco, Texas.
